Giudecca Panorama Apartment

This house is a two storied apartment: a raised level and a first floor; on the raised level there is an entrance hall, a laundry place and a little store room. At the first floor there is a large living room with four panoramic big windows en suite through which you can admire a marvellous sightseeing of Venice; then there is a kitchen and a dining room, a service bathroom, a double bed bedroom with a cloakroom and another bathroom. Some walls were treated using old Venetian techniques to acquire the particular effects of marble; the bedroom walls are covered with silk velvet tapestry. The dwelling is furnished with original antique pieces in Venetian style: "bureau à dos d'ain" in the living room, and briar nut wooden bureau in the bedroom, a console and other particular pieces, large sofas in the living room. In the solid cherry kitchen, there is a round table "Louis Philippe" and all details are functional and cared: the doors have stained glasses, like in the rest of the house.

The apartment is placed on the Giudecca Island, next to the embarkation wharf called "Giudecca Palanca"- just 200 meters far from the house. The two storied apartment was built in an ancient dwelling going back to the XVIIIth century, that was used to give hospitality to merchants passing from Venice; the apartment was entirely restructured respecting the ancient architectonic elements that make it unique. The apartment is available (from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.) on Saturday to the following Saturday (it must be let free from 8.00 to 10.00).
