La Volta

Written documentation of Stomennano date back to 1254 when in his place was signed the peace between Florence and Siena. Not much later Dante Alighieri visiting the spot was so touched by the view of Monteriggioni to describe it in its Divina Commedia. Stomennano is a wonderful discovery for visitors to Tuscany. Although is located only few miles from Siena remain a part of a quieter time. This classic Tuscan farmhouse is part of a magnificent aristocratic estate which has existed since the days it was a medieval hamlet. A long double row of cypress trees leads to this small corner of Tuscan history. The stately mansion and the farmhouse have recently been restored. The estate has been owned by the same family since the seventeen century. The Grassi brothers now lives there with their two Great Danes, gentle giants, duck, and two cats and they are now offering them for holiday. La Volta is a wonderful, bright, spacious farmhouse ideal for families and groups. It can be rented as one unit for 12 persons or separated in two units for 8 and 4 persons. Ones you enter into the big living room you will be struck by the huge fireplace and the cosy atmosphere of the house due to the particulars and warm coloured furniture and the terra cotta floors. A nice and useful kitchen, a Tuscan wooden table that seats more than 14, comfortable sofas placed in front of the fireplace, three romantic double bedroom with canopy bed, one of which obtained in a dove cot lighted by mullioned windows, one twin bedded room, 3 bathroom with shower. The adjoining unit for 6 persons is formed by one eat-in kitchen with living area with double sofa bed, one big and bright double bed with canopy bed, one twin bedded room and bathroom with tube . Private garden with BBQ area and marble table.

The apartment has Italian furniture, dishwasher, washing machine, pop-up toaster, TV satellite, hairdryers, steam iron, filter and Italian coffee pots, abundant linens, kitchenware and laundry room. Linen is changed weekly.
