Residenza La Sciara

Located on one of most beautiful, panoramic parts of the island of Stromboli, the Residenza La Sciara is a residence in many ways indeed very "special" due to : the natural beauty of its position, with the sheer majesty of the volcano on one side and the sea on the other, the architectural charm of the building, the refined collection of furnishing together with an enchanting garden which makes the Residenza La Sciara an almost magical place where a brief stay can be transformed into a once in a life time experience. The residence has 60 rooms, all with private facilities and a direct outside telephone line. A particular feature of all rooms, anticipating the philosophical evolution of taste which makes people prefer a personal touch rather than standard design, is that every room is furnished in a different style, with pieces of Sicilian, Neapolitan and Florentine antiques, some of which originate from the island (also from the family's property ). The atmosphere is more that of a grand and refined "family home" rather than that of a typical hotel.

The complex is made of a central area called "Stromboli" consisting of the club house and reception, the restaurant furnished with pieces of antique furniture, the covered terrace surrounded by a splendid nature, the restaurant where you can find a nice area for reading and relax at the bar. At the centre of the private garden which covers approximately 10.000 square metres down towards "Scari Balordi" where Ulysses landed. There is a large seawater swimming-pool with parasols, sunbeds and deck-chairs, a bar with tables and chairs and behind the main area lies a tennis court.The Hotel is closed from October until April.
