Poerio Panoramic Apartment

This enchanting apartment is located in the surroundings of Trastevere, in a charming, green and residential quarter of the beginning of the XX century, Monteverde Vecchio, just on the Gianicolo Hill. It was the studio of the famous Dutch artist M.C. Escher. The main room is decorated by two beautiful and luminous stained glass windows that appear in several famous engravings by him. This is a top floor apartment (no elevator), from where you can enjoy a beautiful view on the park below. Just outside the main entrance there is a delightful terrace with a breathless view overlooking the city with its monuments and the hills far away. The apartment has a large bright living room with fireplace and a quite large modern and well equipped kitchenette; there is also a beautiful wooden loft with a large single bed. Moreover, a bedroom with a double bed and a bath with shower. In the living room there are two comfortable single sofa beds.

It was the studio of the famous Dutch artist M.C. Escher. He has decorated the glass windows and the majolica in this enchanting apartment. From the apartment (300mt) there is a train that bring you to S. Peter (only one stop).
