Palazzo Greco

The house is original Salentino Palazzo dating 1762 with all vaulted rooms and 4 big chimneys. There are 2 arab style courtyards, one with a pool. A guest house has been added on the other side of the main courtyard. The old Palazzo includes a big kitchen with fireplace, 3 bedrooms and one bathroom in the mainfloor and 3 bedrooms and one bathroom on the first floor, which also has a very large terrace. Each room has double beds. In the Guest house there is a loft style kitchen/living room, chimney, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms plus a service room with bathroom in the basement. The Guest House has air conditioning. Tv, Internet/telephone.

The house is in Giurdignano, a very small village of 1000 inhabitants situated in the beautiful country side surrounded by olive trees just 6 km away from the beautiful sea of Otranto. It is famous for the presence of megalitic monuments dolmen or menhir, of the archeological site called 'Le Centoporte", of several criptas, of which the most famous the church-cripta of San Salvatore, of two hipogean tombs of the eneolitic period (II millennium B.C.). The house is situated in the center of town, next to the lovely piazza with a church and other historic palaces and walking distance from coffee bars and restaurants. It is just 5 minutes away from the port and beaches of OTRANTO. A traditional fisherman boat is available upon request.
