Villa La Riggia

La Riggia is an old villa that was built around the mid-eighteenth century, on the spectacular Ionian coast. The villa is located in a 30.000 square metres of parkland with olive trees, fruit trees, a pine forest, a swimming pool, a tennis court, a soccer field and parking space. This completely restored property features a main building and four depandance. The main building features a first floor (available only on request) and a Ground Floor (Types D). The guesthouse "Type D" is located on a small courtyard featuring an impressive door leading onto an internal staircase to the first floor. It consists of a master bedroom with private bathroom and independent access onto the courtyard, a twin bedroom, a large living room with sofas and armchairs, another bedroom with 2 single sofa-beds, a large and elegant bathroom with shower, a large, well-equipped, traditional kitchen, a dining room, and a pergola outside overlooking a spacious garden with barbecue and stone benches (on the opposite side of the square). This garden is shady and well-furnished with tables and chairs to be used as an extension of the living space, for dining outside. This area is at the full disposition of our guests to relax in private. There is also an outside laundry facility and a changing room with shower. The two guesthouses "Type A" (2+2, 50 sqm) feature a master bedroom with a private bathroom with shower, and a living room with a kitchen area and a double sofa-bed. These guesthouses have independent entrances through wide glass doors under the pergola. The guesthouse "Type C" (4+2, 60 sqm) is located in a walled garden-orange grove which ensures total privacy. "Type C" features two master/twin bedrooms (one of which has a private bathroom suite), an extra double bed above the living room on a mezzanine, a double sofa-bed in the living room, a second bathroom with shower, a furnished kitchen area, an outdoor pergola with garden furniture. Washing machine available.

-All the apartments are furnished with a fridge, an oven, a TV set and air conditioning. -The equipment includes kitchenware, bathroom and kitchen towels and bed sheets, changed every week. -For each extra change of towels and sheets requested, there is an additional charge of 10€. -The swimming pool is open from May 17th to September 27th. -A wine cellar with selected local and national wines is also available to our guests. -ON REQUEST: The guesthouse "Type B" (4+2 square meters 60) features two master bedroom a kitchen, a bathroom with shower and an outdoor pergola with garden furniture. Washing machine is also available. -NEARBY SERVICES: a riding stable where horse riding tours in the pine forest and along the cliffs can be arranged; a scuba diving center where equipment can be rented; Santa Caterina harbour where boats can be rented for day cruises. -DISTANCES: the sea is 10 minutes on foot through a pine forest on the cliffs; 1 kilometre from the centre of Santa Caterina di Nardò (a splendid beach town); 200 metres from the Porto Selvaggio natural park.
