The Praia

The apartment La Praia is situated right above crystal clear water next to a beautiful little pebbled beach also called La Praia located in the town of Praiano. This picturesque setting makes you feel as though you are part of a movie set, with its restaurants gastronomically enticing you with their aromas, bars offering cool drinks and famous espresso, and the ubiquitous blue and white wooden fishing boats moored just off the beach, you will be lulled into the atmosphere of this little place called La Praia. A few minutes along its beach pathway you will find the famous night club the Africana, where in the late seventies had a steady stream of the rich and famous pass through its doors. This nightclub is like no other, built in a sea grotto above the ocean, you can dance the night away as you watch the waves lapping onto the rocks from the glass portholes in the floor. The Africana’s walls are decorated with seashells and pebbles and pieces of broken ceramic tiles to create random and colorful mosaics all the way up to its ceiling. La Praia is ideal for a family who love the ocean and want to be near it, the apartment can be accessed from a reserved parking area if you are arriving by car. From here there are a series of steps then an ocean pathway that goes down towards the apartment, once you standing outside there are 25 steps going up to its front door. The apartment consists of an entry, a lounge/dining room with sofa bed that can sleep an extra two people (80 euro p/p per/wk), a master bedroom, a kitchenette that has recently been refurbished and a bathroom with a shower. The front rooms have access to a magnificent terrace with spectacular views of the Amalfi Coast.

If you choose not to bring a car you can take advantage of the regular bus services run by SITA, that can take you to any village along the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento to Salerno. There is also an internal bus service that takes on a circular route through Praiano and back and forth between Praiano and Positano. This internal bus service can be use right up until midnight. You won’t be disappointed by this little apartment called La Praia and of the charming village of Praiano.
