This villa is a hidden “Gem” nestled amongst terraces lined with lemon trees and flowers; a landscape characteristic of this pat of Pogerola named Sopramare. Situated 4.5kms from Amalfi there are beautiful views of the sea and the neighbouring villages. This location is kissed by the sun, and in the early morning the colours of the lemon groves seem to intensify. Pogerola is an agricultural village which survives on the abundant local produce as well as tourism in the summer months due to its close proximity to Amalfi. Villa Poggio Antico is situated 80 steps from the main road from where at 200-250 meters you can park your car on the public road. Further up the road about 1 km you have a supermarket which is open late during the summer. The stairs down to Villa Poggio Antico are not particularly difficult and you can easily take your time to enjoy the scenery as you walk them. These stairways are very popular with tourists who choose to use them to get all the way to Amalfi as they offer many photographic opportunities. The nearest stop of the bus is at 900 meters.
